Sugar-free snickerdoodle protein French toast
Ingredients: 2 slices of bread 2 tsp vanilla whey protein 1/4c unsweetened almond milk 1/4c egg whites 1/2 tsp Natvia, or sweetener of choice Dash of vanilla extract 1.5 tbsp Natvia, or granulated sweetener of choice 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions: Combine milk, egg whites, protein and cinnamon in a shallow plate. Soak bread in mixture for a few minutes, then flip and repeat on the other side. On another plate, whisk cinnamon and Natvia together. Heat a frying pan on medium-low heat and spray with non-stick spray. Take a slice of bread and allow for the excess liquid to drip off it. Coat both sides with cinnamon sugar and place into pan. Let each side cook for several minutes, or until crispy and golden. Be careful not to have your heat too high though or you’ll risk burning it! To serve, slice bread in half then top with more cinnamon, maple syrup or desired toppings.
